What is the Asia Pacific Junior Cup?
The Asia Pacific Junior Cup, whose title sponsor is Hilton Grand Vacations, is an annual world-class junior golf tournament that recognizes and rewards the golf ability of young men and women from Hawaii, Japan and other Asia Pacific countries, while raising awareness and monies for a variety of local charitable organizations.
Who benefits from the Asia Pacific Junior Cup?
The Asia Pacific Junior Cup is an educational and recreational vehicle by which talented young men and women from different cultures compete in a positive and friendly atmosphere with the potential of creating long-lasting bonds.
Additionally, the tournament offers the opportunity to further invest in the community through philanthropic activities with the participating tournament partners. Each year, a percentage of the monies collected from the tournament are distributed to deserving local organizations, with this year’s event partners to include the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association and the Waikoloa Foundation.
The goals of the Asia Pacific Junior Cup are numerous:
- To further promote junior golf as an educational and recreational tool for young men and women, one that offers a positive competitive outlet, the ability to bring cultures together and the potential of creating long-lasting bonds.
- To elevate the level of awareness for the Big Island, junior golf, tournament beneficiaries, Hilton Grand Vacations, Waikoloa Beach Resort and the Kohala Coast.
- To invest further in the community through philanthropic activities with all participating tournament partners. Each year the tournament will benefit a variety of deserving local organizations.
