The APJC is an annual world-class junior golf tournament that recognizes and rewards the ability of young men and women from Hawaii & Japan, while raising awareness and monies for a variety of local charitable organizations.  The APJC is an educational and recreational vehicle by which talented young men and women from different cultures compete in a positive and friendly atmosphere with the potential of creating long-lasting bonds.
The Asia Pacific Junior Cup is celebrating it's 11th Anniversary this year.  The event started with the vision of Mark Wang, President of Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Mary Bea Porter-King, President, HSJGA, who wanted to foster good will between Hawaii and international players in a fun Ryder Cup style tournament.  The original plan was to have the event rotate back and forth between Hawaii and Japan.  But because of certain logistics of international coordination, the event was kept at Waikoloa Kings' Course on the Big Island for the past 9 years.  In 2016, the tournament went to Japan for the first time.  It will be held once again in Japan in November and then rotate back to the Big Island in 2018.
